Nature's splendor, our own story
Look and listen, take it all in
The view from here may be glorious
We are privileged to live within
The boundless domain all around us
We cannot begin to live without
Respect for the world that has found us
Must be carried over with some clout
This world's majesty can be maintained
Duty overcomes the unruly
Respect is the seed that can't be feigned
To foster good deeds very truly
Open our senses to grandeur
Exhale free and simply observe
Remembering just to breathe in
The promise we held to our word

Mindfulness
for Thay
Diversity may continue to thrive
Every insect, plant, and animal
Deserves its chance to survive
Eventually to rescue us all
Let us remember to breathe
Each of us individually
Present for the time being
Each one of us here for the other
Without a divide, we don't have to reach
So we take this moment as an opportunity
To teach each other how to look inside
And withhold judgment for the purpose of unity
So let's remember to breathe
Each one of us individually
Present until the moment we leave
Remaining alive here for each other
